An important aspect of remote coaching is our ability to communicate easily, even when we’re not in the same room. While many people are familiar with modern Video Conferencing software, it may be new to others, and the features also continue to grow.

We utilize Google Meet - you’ll be provided with the meeting link in your appointment, and additional information to download the free software.

High-Quality, Realtime Screen Sharing

If we are doing image reviews, or anything that requires the highest level of detail, we have the ability to securely transfer files. However, for quick looks at images, showing an issue you’re having on your computer, allowing your coach to show a particular process, etc., sharing a screen can be invaluable.

Closed Captions for Accessibility and Inclusion

The Closed Caption feature can increase understanding and engagement for those who may be hearing impaired or do not speak English as their primary language. Simply ask your coach to enable this feature.

Video Recordings *

This is great for playing back a key topic later, getting a ‘refresher course’ when you get closer to your trip, time in the field, or once your gear arrives.

Transcripts *

Similar to the Video Recording, Transcripts are a great way to be able to go back on a previous session. One benefit is that they are typically more easily searchable, and you can rearrange the content into your own notes.

Summaries *

Similar to Transcripts, this can assist you with determining which video you may want to watch back later.
