Our Approach
The Philosophy
Personal Coaching does three things that other types of learning don’t:
Tailored to you
It’s not the same as watching, reading, or listening to content that may have the answer to your problem buried within. When we have discussions, we do the filtering for you - giving you the information you need, in the context of where you are in your journey.
Holds you accountable
With typical learning, you’ll eventually find the right information. But often, the part that’s missing is that we don’t put that information into practice. Coaching is about results.
Honest Feedback
We believe in being honest in an affirming way. Real growth comes from both authentic praise and constructive criticism.
The Approach
Clearly identify a goal or goals
Be honest about where you’re at right now (strengths, weaknesses, resources)
Identify the gaps
Identify a plan to get you from where you’re at to where you need to be
Execute the plan with accountability
Measure and test the results (adjusting when needed)
Rinse-and-repeat

What’s the difference between Photography Tours and Workshops?
While these terms are sometimes used interchangeably, there is a distinction.
Tours
Tours are all about us helping you gain experience and access to a location in conditions primed for great photography. Let’s say you want to do some Astrophotography (perhaps photographing the Milky Way), and even know how to do it … but you’d like someone else to take care of the pesky details. Book an Astro Tour!
Workshops
Workshops, on the other hand, will indeed get you the same experience and access that a Tour will … but we add the instruction, guidance (before, during, and after the workshop) as well. A workshop should improve some technique, concept, or practice.
Let’s take the same Astro subject. If you’re new to Astrophotography, haven’t done the Milky Way as a subject yet, or maybe aren’t yet familiar with when or where one might go, a Workshop would be a great fit. In this case … Book an Astro Workshop!
