Focused & Tailored Photography Coaching

Create the photos you imagine with step-by-step coaching tailored to your pace, your gear, and your goals.

Coaching isn’t a luxury, it’s your shortcut to better photos.

You don’t need a high-end kit to make photos you’re proud of. You just need clarity, simple explanations, and someone who can help you figure out what’s next.

Our Approach

  • Trying to learn everything on your own can feel like a lot. There’s endless advice online, but none of it knows who you are, what gear you use, or where you’re stuck.

    Coaching gives you:

    • A real conversation, not random tutorials
We cut through the noise and focus on the handful of things that actually matter for where you’re at right now.

    • A bit of accountability
It’s easy to say, “I’ll practice later.” When you know someone’s going to ask what you tried, you’re a lot more likely to pick up the camera.

    • Feedback that actually helps
You get honest reactions to your photos, what’s working and what isn’t, plus clear suggestions for what to change next time. No fluff, no generalizations, just practical guidance.

  • If any of these sound like you, you’re in the right place.

    • You mostly use Auto and feel nervous touching anything else.

    • You’ve watched videos and read articles, but the pieces still don’t fit together.

    • You aren’t sure which settings matter and which you can ignore for now.

    • You want to enjoy photography instead of feeling intimidated by it.

You might have a basic camera, a starter kit, or even be planning your first purchase. The point isn’t how fancy your gear is, it’s that you want to feel more confident using it.

  • In coaching sessions, we keep things simple and practical:

    • Core concepts in plain language
We walk through exposure, focus, and basic composition in a way that makes sense, using subjects and situations you actually care about.

    • Go to setups for your camera
We create a few reliable settings you can reach for without thinking. For example, “this is what I use outside,” or “this is what I use for family and friends.”

    • Image critiques with clear next steps
We use a simple, structured process to review your photos. We cover what is working and what is not, for the image as a whole, creatively, and technically, and we finish with specific next steps for your next session.

    • Small, realistic practice plans
You leave each session with a short, doable assignment, not a giant list. The goal is visible progress after every step, not perfection.

  • Here’s the basic framework behind your coaching:

    1. Get clear on what you want, for example, “get off Auto,” “take better travel photos,” or “feel comfortable using my camera on an upcoming trip.”

    2. Talk honestly about where you’re starting, what’s going well, what’s frustrating, and how much time you can realistically put in.

    3. Figure out the biggest gaps that are holding you back.

    4. Lay out a simple plan to close those gaps, step by step.

    5. You work the plan, and your coach checks in, answers questions, and adjusts things as you go.

    6. Review what you photographed, see what’s working, and tweak what isn’t.

    7. Repeat, keeping what helps and dropping what doesn’t.

You always know why you’re doing something and what the next step looks like.

How it Works - Purchase a Package, Book Sessions

Make your investment work harder.

Many photographers think better gear will result in better images.

While tools are essential, knowing how to use them is the real game-changer.

Most will end up spending on:

✔️ Gear

✔️ Software

✔️ Subscriptions

✔️ Workshops, tours, or personal projects

Coaching is a fraction of that cost, and it can maximize the results from investments by making the right purchases at the right time.

Develop the skills and processes that make the most of what you have, and know when to upgrade.

The Six Pillars of Photography Coaching

We start with where you are now and your goals, then focus on the pillars that matter most for you.

  • Technical coaching pillar

    Technical

Building on your current experience, we explore concrete technical approaches to achieve your goals, ensuring you understand the “why”, so you can adapt intuitively in new situations.

  • Creative coaching pillar

    Creative

Deepening your creative direction and story, clarifying what your work is about, how you want it to feel, and how that shows up in your choices in the field and in post.

  • Fieldcraft coaching pillar

    Fieldcraft

Improving how you work on location, from planning and research to composition, timing, and scenario planning, especially in demanding environments like safaris, harsh weather, or remote locations.

  • Post processing coaching pillar

    Post processing

Tightening workflow and editing, including how you import, cull, and edit, so your process supports a consistent look instead of reinventing everything every time.

  • Sharing coaching pillar

    Sharing

Turning strong images into finished projects, portfolios, galleries, prints, or a social media presence that highlights your style and builds your brand.

  • Business coaching pillar

    Business

Clarify your niche and turn your skills into income, whether that means selling prints, exhibiting at art shows, publishing, working with clients, or eventually leading workshops and tours, then map practical next steps to start or grow it.
