How We Help You

Customer Satisfaction

Let’s face it. These days, anyone traveling wants pictures to show when they get home.

Aptura Photography has experience photographing in over 40+ countries on all 7 continents. From beginners with cell phones to adventure travelers seeking the perfect shot after their 3-day hike, and month-long multi-country travelers looking to do nothing but photograph amazing, remote destinations.

If we can help your guests capture amazing photos from their trip, that’s one more chance for a repeat customer (and a 5-star review).

Increased Upselling

While this is not our goal, many Photography Planning sessions result in the guest realizing they may need to upgrade aspects of their travel plans.

This may include the added benefits of a Private Guide, Private Travel arrangements, additional days at a location to increase their odds of capturing that special image, usually more expensive lodging to be closer to the target location (i.e., accommodations inside park gates, the prime lodge for a mountain view to arrive before sunrise, etc.).

Repeat Travel

Everyone is familiar with the “travel bug” (and it’s for real). Let us introduce you to the “photography bug” (just as real).

Once clients realize they are capable of bringing back amazing images from their trips, they’re even more likely to book that next trip.

Referrals

We don’t compete for bookings. We offer local Tours & Workshops as teaching tools to get photographers into the field and/or prepare for trips.

However, we do get clients who, after using our services, ask about trips. These referrals are sent to any partners that service the related destinations.

Optimized Itineraries

For some destinations and some guests, light may not be the driving factor - it may not even be a factor. At least until they realize it should be.

If you’ve booked an amazing trip to see the stars, capture an amazing shot at a National Reserve, photograph one of the increasingly popular ‘must have’ social media shots … you’re going to wish you scheduled everything based on - light.

Optimizing itineraries based on photographic opportunities doesn’t have to mean re-doing everything, but it takes years of experience in both travel and photography to know the logistics of getting to a great location, at the right time, with the right gear.

Oh dear, the gear!

Speaking of gear … Many photographers, even today’s “amateur” photographers, travel with at least a backpack full of expensive, fragile equipment.

At a minimum, gear selection for a trip, may mean the difference between carrying all of your gear with you in the airplane cabin vs missing the type of shot you want when you get there.

Careful planning is needed to strike a balance between what is needed, how you’ll pack it, how it will travel, and how it will be insured.

No Middleman

For any of our Multi-Session Packages, we work directly with the Travel Agent / Destination Specialist (with the client’s permission).

Market Differentiator

Now, you have access to expert knowledge that can differentiate you from your competitors. When a client asks any questions on photography, instead of having to say “that’s not really our wheelhouse”, you can get them to a qualified company - and we even provide Partners with a branded 10% off Promotional Code.

How You Help Us

Referrals to Aptura Photography

Aptura Photography has a bit of an issue. We’re what’s called a “Niche Market”. Instead of spending our valuable marketing dollars trying to attract the one-off person who is traveling and needs photography help, we ask those industries that benefit from our services to send their clients our way.

As mentioned above, we offer a 10% off branded promotional code that you can give to your clients. This code would look something like:

YOURCOMPANY-10

Compensation for Referrals from Aptura

Many Travel Agencies will focus marketing on Pay-per-click (PPC), Social Media advertising, word-of-mouth, and/or repeat customers. These are all great ways to generate leads.

We offer vetted, known customers who have been primed to utilize your services. Again, we don’t consider ourselves a sales channel for any partners. We’re honest and open with our clients. If we feel that a client is looking for a budget photography trip, we wouldn’t try to sell them on a boutique luxury vacation.

Instead, we know our available partners well and would refer them to a partner that would be a great fit to serve them.

The exact percentage commission will be negotiated as part of our Partner Agreement.

Increased Authority in the Industry

By mentioning Aptura Photography on your website and linking to us, you provide us with a valuable service. This helps increase our authority within the field of Travel Photography, and helps increase our organic placement in searches on Google, Social Media feeds, and even Large Language Models (LLMs) like ChatGPT and Gemini.

Why Aptura Photography?

We’re passionate about what we do. It has taken decades to learn the craft of photography, and the same decades to gain the experience in world travel, to have the confidence to help others achieve their goals.

We say, “We know photography, so you don’t have to.” … but we know a bit about travel too!
