I was given my dad’s old Nikon film camera (yep, still have it). I learned some basics with that and got various cameras over the years, taking pictures on walks.
It wasn’t really until I started to travel internationally, around the year 2003, that I picked things back up. I did several trips, and with each trip, my desire to capture what I was seeing grew.
As many in photography may have experienced, this grew into a full-fledged passion. For many years now, my trips have been custom-designed to flow around photography.

I'm interested in all sorts of photography: Wildlife, Landscape, Travel, Culture, Underwater, Astrophotography.
Anything that gets me outside or in a remote area would be my favorite.
Lately, I've been keen on photographing birds. I've been fortunate to photograph birds on every continent. However, recently, I've been focusing on local birds - parks, reserves, and conservation areas around me during this past spring migration.
