I've had a camera in my hands as long as I can remember, but it was during the last 15 years that I took what was once a hobby and transformed it into an all-out passion and ultimately, a profession. Over that time I not only honed my skills for portraiture & lifestyle photography, I also gained a dedicated online fan base of over 100,000 people who have followed along with me on my photographic journey.

My work has been featured in numerous publications, including on two book covers and within several advertising campaigns. I've had the honor of winning several awards, including Nikonians Image of the Year award in consecutive years. And, I've helped other photographers develop their own skills through my writing & tutorials within photography publications such as 500px and Digital Photography School.

I'm the husband to a wonderful wife, and the dad to three great kids. I've had the opportunity to photograph people & places around the world, including throughout Asia, Europe and North America, but I always come back home to Missouri.

My love of people photography was really born with my children. As I’ve documented their lives, I’ve not only amassed a cherished portfolio of their photographs, I’ve also used my time photographing them to hone my skills and add new ones along the way.
